[Steve woke before the soldiers could continue to taunt him. He sighed, running a hand through his hair after a moment.]

He is a good man but like many of us... he has a few issues.

[He nods in agreement.] Wish I had more of a chance to get to know him. He seemed like a great guy. Just...maybe a little unorthodox, and without any bit of self control.

Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll come back here. [Because...even though he knows what Thor said of his future, he's still holding out the hope that maybe, maybe things will change and he'll be found in Peggy's lifetime.]

Can't imagine Peggy'd let them stop. [A soft smirk, but it's only there for a moment.]

I just....I keep wondering. This place doesn't keep everyone forever. What...what if it takes Peggy away? Or it makes me leave? It took Tony away so easily. What's to say it won't split us apart again?
