[Canon point that you are updating to] The Avengers; post-battle and shawarma scene
[Background]
The First Avenger and The Avengers
[Personality]
For the most part, Steve is still Steve, but there are a few minor changes about him. First off, in the beginning of the movie, he has an almost bitter mentality about him. It's almost like he's mad and frustrated with everything around him, if just because it's not his New York. He doesn't like being out of time, and wants more than anything to go back to the 40s to be with the people he cares about. This starts to go away as the movie progresses and he does become more friendly with the team, making him feel less out of place in the 21st century.
Though the serum did enhance Steve's mental capabilities, he has a lot of issues adjusting to the new time. Instead of being out in the world, he trains and thinks on the time he's from. A derpy side is evident through this, as many sayings and references go over his head. This is bad enough to the point that when he finally understood what someone was talking about, he got excited and had to point out that he did in fact know the reference. He doesn't really understand how computers work, and when forced to wait for results, he took matters into his own hands and went digging in one of the storage areas, finding the information he wanted himself.
Steve's soldier side comes out often, even though he's not technically in the military anymore. He's still referred to as Captain, and refers to the SHIELD members as soldiers. He urges the others to follow their orders, even when he thought things were fishy with SHIELD. Eventually he takes things into his own hands, getting the others to join him in going to New York to stop Loki. He takes charge in the battle, working with the police to protect civilians and making the plan that helps the team defeat the invasion in the end.
[Abilities]
Steve's abilities are the same.
[Other important stuff]
He'll be coming in his new suit, all beat up and bloody since he's fresh out of battle.
[Any questions?]
