First Shield ☆ Video

[Since Steve had arrived in Somarium, he had spent his time trying to adjust not only to this new world, but this new time. Coming from 1944 to a modern age was definitely not easy, but he was doing...well, well enough, especially with the help of Tony.

And now he was finally giving his Dreamberry a try.

...

Yeah, the feed's upside down. But fortunately he realized it pretty fast, flipping it over with a sheepish grin.]

Sorry. First time, uh, using this...thing. [He rubs the back of his head for a second, then he gets a bit more serious. He was on a mission, after all.]

First off, I'd like to ask. Is there a tailor anywhere around here? I have a suit I need fixed up. [His poor Captain America suit. It sure got beat up in that plane crash.]

Secondly, is there....a place to buy motorcycles? I kinda miss my Harley. [It wasn't the only thing he missed, but he was trying not to think too much on Peggy right now. And since he couldn't get drunk still, what better way to keep his mind off things than by getting a motorcycle?]

[Whatever. He's wrinkling up his nose at you now.]

You try coming from 1944 and figure out these things.

Please, let's not go there with excuses. Do I have to write a dummy's guide to modern technology for you?

[He probably will anyway. Just to be kind of an ass.]

[You realize he doesn't even get that joke, right?]

A dummy's guide? Hey, I'm not that stupid. This stuff is just complex, okay?

[identity profile] coolexec.livejournal.com 2011-09-10 10:23 am (UTC)(link)
There is so much I have yet to teach you. There's a whole series of dummy's guide books to basically everything - they're bright yellow things, give an overview of whatever it is at large. The only thing complex here is the dream function.

[identity profile] savesthedance.livejournal.com 2011-09-11 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
So you're saying I need that book? [But...why? He had you to ask when he was lost. Even though he's not really happy you're laughing at him. He almost has half the mind to hit you with his shield. Good thing he's a nice guy and would never actually do something like that.]

Says the guy who made a weaponized suit. Of course nothing's complex to you

[identity profile] coolexec.livejournal.com 2011-09-11 08:46 am (UTC)(link)
You probably need the whole set.

[There is one complex thing - how does one monogamous relationship but that's not an issue here.]

I think it was pretty impossible for me not to get that with Howard Stark as my old man.

[identity profile] savesthedance.livejournal.com 2011-09-12 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
I'm only really having trouble with technology though. [Lies. He's behind in everything. |D

And sorry, he's no help there. He can't even talk to women.]

Exactly. You have an unfair advantage.

[identity profile] coolexec.livejournal.com 2011-09-12 09:47 am (UTC)(link)
Technology's come a long way since your time - I wouldn't let you behind the wheel of any of the cars we have now.

[It's really sad when, should Steve show an interest with anyone, that Tony'll step in to fix him up.]

That's not an unfair advantage, if others put in the right amount of work they could eventually get it done. Besides designing the suit versus the dreamberry isn't a fair comparison.
