Second Shield ☆ Voice

[There's silence for a moment, which is finally broken by an awkward sounding cough.]

Hope this isn't too soon to be saying something on here again, but...has anyone seen Tony Stark? [One day, he wasn't too worried. Two days, he was a little concerned. Now three days have passed. He's worried.]

Haven't seen him for a few days. I know he's a grow man and all, I just...would've thought I've have heard something, y'know?

[He grew silent again, almost as if he was done talking. In a way, he was done. He had set the Dreamberry down, and to himself he mumbled:]

Dammit, Tony. Don't be gone. [And with that, the feed cut out.]

[ there's an audible sigh. ]

His name isn't on the network anymore.

He left.

...That's what I was afraid of. [He sighs, too. Unfortunately, he hadn't known to look on the network for the lack of a name.]

Yeah... it really blows. He and I were pretty good friends.

His workshop is still here though, I think.

You were? I was still getting to know him. Me and his father were good friends, back home.

I've still got his apartment. He let me move in there, when I got here.

Kind of! We had a lot of stuff in common; he was a really nice guy deep down.

Good! At least that won't be totally abandoned. I guess I can clean up the shop a bit...

That's what I thought. Reminded me a lot of his father.

[He pauses for a short moment.] Why don't you look after it for him? There's...there's always the chance he could come back one day, right? Then he won't have to start over from scratch. But...I mean, if you want to, of course.

Hm... you're right! That doesn't sound like a bad idea at all.

I would love to! That place kind of reminds me of the stuff I used to tinker and build with at home.

Then go for it. I'm sure he won't mind. [Okay, there might be a little smile on his face now.] And if it turns out he does, you can always just blame it on me.

Aw, you know i'd never do that! [ she gives her own small giggle. ]

But i'll definitely go there and clean it up a little.

[ have a big, bucktoothed smile, Steve. ]

[He chuckles.] Then I'll tell him, if I have to.

Great. I'm sure he'll really appreciate that.

S- sorry. I haven't seen him around lately. Sorry I couldn't be much more help.

It's alright. Thanks for letting me know that, though. [He is a little glad to know he isn't the only one that hasn't seen Tony, but it's not exactly a relief to know, either.]

A- at least if he's actually gone, it's good to know at least he went back home, eh? [It's a little bit of comfort, anyway. At least, he hopes so.]

Yeah. Guess so. [It's kind of a comfort, but at the same time, thinking he's dead and won't ever be there to see, let alone meet Tony makes it kind of suck. Plus Tony was his only friend here from home. |D]

[Poor guy. He can't help but feel sorry for him since it can be hard not knowing anyone from home.] A- anyway, I don't believe we've spoken before. I'm Matthew.

Don't think we have. I'm Steve Rogers. [He'd be more friendly normally, but he's a little down right now. Sorry.]

[It's something that he understands at least.] A pleasure to speak with you, Steve. Perhaps we can talk more later, eh?

Nice to speak to you, as well. Hopefully next time we won't be talking for such a depressing reason.

I do hope so. I do hope things get better.

I'm sorry, but I don't think I've seen anyone by that name around recently.

Thanks anyways. [He's...really wondering if Tony had gone home right about now. It was a thought that crossed his mind, but he didn't want to believe it.]

You're welcome, but do you want help with looking for him?

I've already looked around some. [He sighs a little.] I hate to think he's gone, but...

[He was really beginning to think it.]

Oh! Well, then I'm sorry.

It...it's alright. It's just how this place works. Can't do anything about it. [He's more upset than he's letting on, really.]

I.. guess, this place is horrible at times like this.

Certainly isn't too nice. [He wouldn't say horrible though, just because this place has at least allowed him to keep on living.]

Have you checked the name list?

No, I haven't. Why? [He doesn't know that's how to tell if a person is gone or not.]

If he ain't on the list, he's gone.

That's how you know for sure, then?

S'been the trend for this place.

Didn't know that. [But you may or may not hear the clicking sound of him fumbling with his Dreamberry, trying to find Tony's name on said list. To no avail.]

....It's not there.

Then there's yer answer. S'far as we know it, he's gone back home.

[And silence follows that answer. He's pretty bummed to hear that. Even though it was one of his thoughts as to what might have happened, he hadn't wanted to accept it.]

....Thanks. For telling me how to find out.

No problem, kid.

How long has he been missing? [He hasn't looked at the list yet but it might be good not to jump to conclusions just yet.]

Three days. [He doesn't even know to check the list, but he's worried he might be gone. He just really hopes not.]

Still kind of short but that might not exactly be a good sign either.

[Should he look at the list now? :|a]

I know it's not, but I'm staying at his apartment. And I still haven't seen him.

[The list should probably be checked. \:\

Gimme a sec.

[And he finally does pull up the contact list, going through the names thoroughly. He makes a face upon seeing that the name didn't seem to be on the list and even if he makes an effort to hide it, he isn't certain whether Steve had caught. Nevertheless, he asks once more just to be certain.]

What's this guy's name again? Tony Stark?

[Steve waits patiently as Jensen looks, grateful he was kind enough to help him find out about Tony. But the hesitation he catches wind of makes him frown.]

Yeah, Tony Stark. He's not there, is he?

He's not. Sorry. Looks like your friend's gone home now.

[He looks remorseful enough. That feeling that someone you know heads home for the first time was never a good one.]

That's what I was afraid of.

[He sighs, but seems to be taking it fairly well. At least, he's trying to act as if that's the case.]
